Payroll Executive - Warner Bros



  • This position works very closely with the APAC Payroll Manager and jointly responsible for Payroll Operations deliverables for all assigned countries in APAC and ensures that they meet or exceed Global Business Services Payroll’s SLA/Metrics/KPI’s. This role ensures that appropriate procedures are in place and properly functioning to enable GBS Payroll to demonstrate that the deliverables are met on time and accurately
  • Support the APAC Payroll Manager in day to day activities which includes the management and processing of monthly payroll/ annual payroll filing for employees based out of assigned countries including payroll administration, pension fund contributions and dealing with ad-hoc employee queries.
  • Under the supervision of Payroll Manager work closely and partner with People & Culture team which is the key stakeholder with the aided super vision of Payroll Assistant Manager
  • Support and help the Payroll Manager in the management and coordination of monthly basis with payroll service providers for assigned countries along with liaising with payroll service providers to meet all local statutory requirements
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations
  • Audit Support- Liaise with auditors (internal & external) and manage payroll audit
  • Preparation of various Payroll reports (Payroll Variance, FTE reports and any other adhoc reporting)

  • Project Support- Extend full support in the delivery of regional and global projects with measurable and quantifiable benefits
  • As there are multiple APAC countries being served, the person needs to be flexible in supporting different APAC time-zones

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject i.e. Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Studies
  • Understanding of basic payroll accounting
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working in a Payroll Operations team, preferred in a Global Organization with Shared Service Experience.
  • Understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes and understanding of the employment regulations in above mentioned APAC Countries.
  • Thorough understanding of the Payroll processing and exposure to various APAC countries
  • Experience in supporting audits and dealing with Auditors
  • Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and strong organizational skills
  • Capacity to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of working and excelling in a changing environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
