SMT Programmer


Role -- SMT Programmer
Role type - Full Time

Job Requirements Include:

  • Associate’s degree is preferred.
  • One (1) year of related experience is required; Two (2) or more years of related experience is preferred. (An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.)
  • Knowledge in PCB assembly process, SMT, RoHS assembly, Lean Manufacturing, IPC standards, & Quality Systems required.
  • Understand and utilize ERP systems: Agile/Customer specific.
  • CAM350, Gerber Viewer, Valor, and Mentor.
  • General office equipment, MS software, and materials knowledge is a must.
  • Must be able to work independently as required
  • Intermediate verbal, written communication skills, and technical writing skills are required.

Job Responsibilities Include:


  • Development of custom applications to improve and automate manual methods.
  • Lead the generation of support data for Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI) and test/Inspection machine programming.
  • Responsible for generation of Machine Programs for the site and support other sites.
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of part definitions.
  • Manage the program generation schedules.
  • Support update of Certified Samples and/or Certified Drawings according to BOM changes as they apply.
  • Support the creation of certified sample drawings.
  • Lead the implementation of ECO’s for programming changes.
  • Lead the design and procurement of stencils.
  • Support SMT programming continuous improvement projects.
  • Support the creation of SMT Stencils and/or Tooling as needed.
  • Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (10%).
  • Additional duties as assigned.
